Adam Shelton grew up in rural Southern Ohio but migrated to the Pacific Northwest just after graduating college. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Oregon School of Law. He has practiced family law exclusively since 2011.
Diligence, thoughtfulness, and professionalism are attributes Adam brings to each unique case. While offering strong advocacy, Adam also views the attorney-client relationship as a team effort, emphasizing the importance of a client’s understanding and involvement in decisions that impact their future.
Adam handles matters ranging from complex financial dissolutions, high-conflict custody matters, and amicable separations. He also offers pro bono services to minor children who require representation.
Adam serves as a member of the Multnomah Court, Clackamas County and Washington County Bar Associations; the Oregon State Bar-Family Law Section, the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners and the Oregon Judicial Department Family Law Advisory Committee. He is a team leader for the annual Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger food drive.
When Adam isn’t in the office or a courtroom, he spends his free time with his spouse and toddler. Otherwise, you may find him squeezing in the occasional workout, tinkering on his PC, or exploring the Pacific NW through non-motorized means like snowboarding, mountain biking, or hiking.
