Adam Shelton grew up in rural Southern Ohio but migrated to the Pacific Northwest just after graduating college. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Oregon School of Law. He has practiced family law exclusively since 2011.
Diligence, thoughtfulness, and professionalism are attributes Adam brings to each unique case. While offering strong advocacy, Adam also views the attorney-client relationship as a team effort, emphasizing the importance of a client’s understanding and involvement in decisions that impact their future.
Adam handles matters ranging from complex financial dissolutions, high-conflict custody matters, and amicable separations. He also offers pro bono services to minor children who require representation.
Adam is the current treasurer of Oregon State Bar Family Law Executive Committee and a board member of the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners. He is also an active member of the Multnomah County, Clackamas County, and Washington County Bar Associations.
When Adam isn’t in the office or a courtroom, he spends his free time exploring the Pacific Northwest with his spouse and children. When he’s not with his family, you may find him occasionally venturing onto a jiu jitsu mat or testing his ligament integrity on a basketball court.
